    Hi nmsuk! Thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately i am not using readyboost or a flash drive... i just put a SSD drive in and freshly installed windows.

    And Trouble, i shall run a disk check... i will not be happy if it tells me my brand new SSD is broken!

    I ran a disk check and it just went straight through with no problems or notices.

    I noticed that my SSD Is using the above driver...
    however...
    Crucial.com Product Downloads - Firmware Updates
    is the recomended from crucial? i have no idea weather i should or shouldn't update that? or even how to update?

    i downloaded this: Crystal Dew World

    and it tells me i have firmware 0009 which is the latest so i think i have just gone down the wrong path with all this.

    Now I know you're using a SSD, can you disable the defrag and superfetch services and see how it goes. How I missed the part about the replacement ssd in your I don't know so my apologizes.
