    Anyway, I guess I could post the specs of my laptop:

    Secondary desktop:
    Athlon 5200+ x2 2.6 ghz,2gb RAM, geforce 8500 gt,370 gb hdd

    third desktop:
    2 x PIII 733 mhz,1 gb SDRAM, radeon 9500, 190 gb hdd

    And there is the laptop of my dad...but i don't know the specs

    Ohh, looks nice to me. Though I think you should use vista on that machine, as Vista has Ready Drive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Vista_I/O_technologies#ReadyDrive

    Also, that computer should be fine for running Vista, so you can get the real experience. I know someone who disliked vista, but got a new laptop with it, and now he likes vista.

    Nah, I'm an XP follower, for sure.
    It'll be my test machine for iterations of Windows 7 Though.
    Readydrive doesn't really apply, as XP runs SSD's fine.
