Oh, yeah... Since I have Ultimate, doesn't that render using Upgrade Media a "no go" since only offering Home Premium or Professional flavors (in the current upgrade bargain offering)?

I may, if Corp, doesn't give me RTM, will use the 'trick. Normal upgrade offer doesn't suit as I have Ultimate & the upgrade bargain offer is to H P or Pro. Naturally I want to stay w/ Ultimate & both 32 & 64... dual, triple or even quad-boot is all ok by me

& can you pls clarify...

A fellow is aking if he can use the "Clean Install using Upgrade 'trick'" if he has nothing else previously on his machine except the Win7 RC. He never had (owned) XP or Vista. He wants to go from RC to using Win7 Upgrade. I think he needs a Full Version install w/ the RC being no help or starting point & this his only route no already ever having XP or Vista. I told him to ask you if my understanding is correct or not.

I trust you notice I have tried / am trying to lessen the scattered chaos, mostly from new folks, & channel things, bring/give some focus w/in the site. Directing similar queries to a single answer. Silly ppl don't just go to Microsoft's Windows 7 info site to get general info questions they keep asking us or read what is here in the Forums before asking ( what would be unnecessary) questions. It is cool that you & I offen 'support' & concur w/ each other. I, also, find joy in helping others.
