One of Guru3D's favourite hardware diagnostic tools, Everest, has been upgraded. Everest offers accurate hardware information and diagnostics capabilities, including online features, memory benchmarks, hardware monitoring, and low-level hardware information. EVEREST Home Edition is optimized for Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 operating systems, and it fully supports the Vista / XP look & feel.

Much has happened to Lavalys Everest since Ross last posted about it - but these may be considered to be good things. Everest appears to have been acquired by a company called FinalWire, Ltd. It has been renamed to AIDA.

As AIDA, the program has undergone major alterations in the latest 1.5.1200 version. With Everest discontinued, AIDA is basically the same program . However, its new name does include some new features. Visit AIDA64 | PC Benchmark | System Diagnostics | Network Inventory for more information.

I suggest testing this program at least once, to see if its suits your needs. Professionally, I find this software to be best-in-class for identifying hardware. Business and Engineer versions can be used to monitor hardware and software on a number of systems over a network. This includes temperature and voltage. Basically, every possible measure of your system which could be extracted from the hardware and software installed upon it is provided by this utility. Its capability to generate timely, quick reports allows for time well spent, and the creation of baseline on-paper configurations that can be used in planning stages.
