    Thumbs down Sound Problems

    Hi,

Win7 - 64 bit Ultimate. All sounds working fine.

I changed my sounds in "empty Recy. Bin" to a Wav file on my computer. Saved the changed Sound Theme.

All working fine including the new wav.

When I re-boot my existing sound theme changes by itself to one of the other themes.

What gives? Yes, I saved the new sound theme.

    Thanks

copy over the .wav (or whatever ) file

replace the one it's actually calling with the one you want to hear

for example... delet ding.wav and copy ring a ding ding ding dong.wav to ding.wav

    Thumbs down Sound Problems

    Hi,

Thank you. Let me restate my problem:

I changed one sound item, empty recycling bin, with a saved wav. file on my hard drive. Tested sound all working.

    Saved the changed theme.

    All plays fine.

Reboot and all the sounds revert to some other sound theme.

Why doesn't it reboot to the "Saved Sound Theme"????????

    Bob

Try moving all other themes EXCEPT the one you want.... to another folder where it can't find them. I can't test this to see if I have the "bug" beause I don't reboot very often.

    Wink Sound Problems

    Hi,

Thank you. I'll give it a try..

Bye the way, I don't reboot very often either, I leave this on 24/7.

I have a dual boot, Win XP 32 Bit and Win 7 64 Bit Ultimate.

I only use Win XP 32 bit for my scanner and to print from within "Quicken".

Not sure if Quicken has corrected their "Printing" problem with 64 bit O/S. I know Win XP 64 bit
    wouldn't print in quicken.

    Bob
