    Pinning Icons To Desktop

    in windows xp when you right click on the desktop you have the option to lock the icons to the desktop. where is that option on windows 7. because I place all my icons around the edge of my screen, but when I re boot they all re appear all on the left side of the desktop. please help thank you.

    Hello DTCZSR, to Windows 7 Forums.

    Right click on the desktop and hover over "View", "Auto arrange icons" and "Align icons to grid" should be unchecked, as shown below;

    Did that done that, nope that don't work. thx for trying. does anyone else know how to fix this problem.
