In Windows XP I have much more flexibility with the number of screen resolution including refresh rates than I do with Windows 7.

In Windows XP, I can use the inf file provided with the monitor to update the driver.

Alas, this is not possible with Windows 7 as it doesn't recognise the inf file as a driver.

I've searched in vain for a solution to this.

Any one have any ideas on how to restore the missing screen resolutions & refresh rates under Windows 7.
