Question USB Mouse freezes upon waking up

I have a Microsoft brand USB mouse connected by wire to a desktop computer. When I allow the computer to go to sleep, I cannot wake it up via the mouse. A tap on the keyboard will wake the computer up, but all I get out of the mouse is a slight twitch before it freezes. Once I am back onto the desktop, the only way to bring the mouse back is to unplug and plug it back in again, but only after I have waited about 15 - 30 seconds.

    Any suggestions?

How are you trying to wake it? Wiggling the mouse does not work with Win7, but pressing the left-click button should - but then also, Wake on Mouse has to be enabled in the BIOS.

You might try another mouse too, before making changes to the computer.
