    problem installing window 7

    Hello,

    I am installing win 7 on my pc but after it unpacked the documents it says there has been an unknown error and its going to continue the installation after its restarted, but then it gives the same error and restats again. I had xp on there before installing 7.

    Sorry for my bad english , hopefully you can still get the message.

    You should do a clean installation after formatting any partition at least of 20GB not upgrading from windows xp.

    Okj, so i need te make a backup and then install the full version???
    And can i still make a backup???

    It may be possible but you got to get booted to safe mode .. or from the command prompt from the install disk.
