Cannot get Windows 7 to work

my resolution is like 600xsomething and won't let me change, its like i have zero permissions to do anything, and when i go to try and update driver the tab is greyed out....why is this happening? I still have XP on drive C, but did a clean install of win7 on drive E

i have drivers backed up on my C drive but not sure how to get them put onto my E drive

you will need to install windows 7 drivers for all your devices for 7 to operate properly, and in some cases use vista drivers when windows 7 drivers aren't available but anything in drivers from xp arent going to work.

have you checked in device manager to see if there are any devices not installed and needing drivers ?

Click Start and type "us" and select User Account and change your account control settings.. slied the bar all the way down.
