Thread: Install doesn't progress beyond desktop wallpaper load

I can't get Windows 7 RC to get beyond the loading of the desktop wallpaper. I have burned the .iso image with Nero on 4x speed twice, finalized the disk, error checked it with no errors.

Once the wallpaper loads nothing else happens. No menus error messages or anything.

I am attempting this install on an unformatted WD 1002FBYS RE 3 (Western Digital Raid Edition 3 HD). I don't think it could be the lack of formatting at this stage as I have not even progressed to a menu to begin the install.

Any suggestions?

GeForce 7300 LE (POS)
Zalman 9700
PC Power & Cooling 750

I always burn using Imgburn at 1x.

You could also try a USB install.
