Moving OS (Windows 7 x64) from one HDD to another..?

Is it possible, and if so how do I go about it/is it something a relative novice could undertake without too much of a problem..?

Keeping all files & settings also if possible.

    Thanks.

You can use Windows Backup and Restore to make an image of the install and then put that image on a new drive. There are some restrictions as far as drive size from old to new but it works fairly well.

You did not give any particulars about your situation, such as drive sizes, so hard to tell for sure. But you will need another drive, external or internal, or a network location to make the original image.
