Accessing hidden shares
With my old Windows XP PCs I used to access the files using the hidden network shares (i.e. c$). I am trying to do the same with the Windows 7 computers but am getting asked for a login.
I have set password protected sharing to off but am still getting asked for a login. I tried the login I use on the PC (the logins for both PCs are the same) however it is prepending the computer name as a domain so it isn't working.
I'd like to be able to share any file or folder without having to share the entire drive. I'd also like to keep the PC as secure as possible. Can anyone help?
