    What model is the 2-Wire Gateway? One I was looking at whether someone could have set up a Public Network using a public address.

    Good Evening!

    I also started using my computer this evening and was frustrated. It showed that all connections were good, but could not connect to the internet. I was able to fix this by rolling back the Windows update that was installed last night. I have not identified which of the 6 updates caused the problems but have listed the numbers below.

    KB2639308
    KB2621440
    KB2641653
    KB2647518
    KB2665364
    KB2667402

    Sorry I have been down for a few days . BUT i am HAPPY and excited to report I AM ON LINE!!!!!!!!!!! THANK \YOU SO MUCH TROUBLE THE LAST SUGGEST WORKED LIKE A CHARM!!!!

    Glad to hear that you were able to resolve your issue. Thanks for posting back and updating your thread with that information.
    Although I'm still a bit curious as to why your machine will not resolve DHCP properly on your network and only manually assigning static values to the properties of IPv4 will allow you to connect.

    I think my computer has a mind of its own! in July when my son comes to visit I am going to have him take a look at mt settings to see something is off. Again Thanks for all the help!
