Maybe you could run a command to show you the network status both when it is active and when it is not. The differences might help diagnose the situation.
Open a command prompt and type the following:
ipconfig /all > %userprofile%\Desktop\ipconfig.txt
You will need to rename one of the .txt files of course. But you could zip and attach them so we can see what is happening. You could edit them for personal info if you desire, or you could compare them and show us the parts that change.
Make sure and look at the least times for the connection, and you can also compare the two computers as to what they show.
