Remote File Transfer over Network SLOW!!!!!
Hello all,
I have a strange one that I hope you can help me with. I have two machines at home. One is my main and the other is a Media PC (HTPC). I have networked the two machine through homegroup. On my main machine I open two windows on the HTPC hard drive though the network. When I try transfering a file from one directory to another, on the same HTPC hard drive, it transfers at 3 MB/sec. If I go to the HTPC and transfer it is around 200 MB/Sec. If I remote desktop to the HTPC, it also transfers about 200 as well.
Can anyone please tell me what is wrong???? It's not like I am tranferring from one PC to another. I am transferring the file from the same computer, same hard drive, just remotely.
Thanks
Viper
