Wireless Problem (Limited Access)

Hello, I have a home network on WPA-2 Personal enabled and my Ipad and one of my laptops connect properly whilst my desktop PC on Windows 7 doesnt connect wirelessly as it gives limited connectivity but LAN seems to be fine. I have done the ipconfig instructions and the info is below. Please help:

I don't know what "Hamachi" is, but it appears to be working??

Your wireless is stuck in the unidentified network status. Are you using the correct SID for it? If you left click the Wireless icon in the tray, does it show your network, and good signal strength? Security shows correctly in the properties?

After you check all that, you might try disabling the wireless and then re-enabling it in the ncpa.cpl panel, or open the Network and Sharing center and go to adapter settings. While there, you might disable the Ethernet adapter to remove it from the equation.

If your security is set correctly, and you are having problems getting the DHCP server to assign you an address, you might open the properties of the Adapter in the previously mentioned panel, select the IPv4 properties and enter a good IP address manually. Use your router for the DNS address and gateway. That should allow you to be recognized by the system as part of your LAN.

Some folks suggesting disabling the IPv6 for testing. It is necessary for Homegroups.

According to the information you have attached, your wireless adapter is unable to contact a DHCP server (probably your wireless router) to obtain a proper IP addressing scheme and is consequently using APIPA (169.254.###.###)
There are typically a couple reasons for this and they most likely either involve the firmware on the router itself needing an update, so check the manufacturer's website and see what they have in respect to that.
OR;
The driver for the wireless adapter needing an update. If you know specifically which adapter you are currently using from Linksys you can also try their site to see if there is a driver update.
Additionally try:
Disabling IPv6 in the properties of the problem adapter (just uncheck the box) and reboot.
Change the wireless channel the Router is using. Just move it to 3 or 11 and see if that helps at all.
Experiment with the encryption you are using. Test it running Open (none), then change it to WEP, then to WPA, then to WPA2. And experiment with AES and TKIP to see if it makes any difference.
And in some instances, some over zealous Internet Security Suites or third party Firewalls can cause similar symptoms.
My recommendation would be to uninstall any such software completely and replace them for the time being with the native Windows Firewall and MSE from here Spyware Protection | Free Spyware Protection | Microsoft Security Essentials
Attempting to disable or turn them off is a waste of time and complete removal often involves running their individual vendor specific removal tools. Check this list or Google for the specific tool. Security Software | SingularLabs

Firstly, correct SID? How do I check that and what is it? Network shows in the wireless tray and it tries connecting but it says limited connectivity with the yellow exclamation mark on the signal (even though it says "connected"). It doesnt receive packets basically.

Tried disabling and re-enabling to no avail. I am in the network and sharing center and clicked on adapter settings however I dont see any ethernet settings to disable.

I opened the wireless connections and went into the IPv4 settings to assign manual settings and that did not help. I also disable IPv6.

Did a power cycle too.

My adapter is a Linksys Wireless-G PCI adapter, but how will I know which driver it has installed and how do I search for the latest cause it doesnt seem to be present on the cisco website.

At the same time, how do I change wireless channels?

Click start and type
msinfo32
and hit enter
expand components
expand Network
select adapter
Scroll as necessary to locate the problem adapter and see if there is any specifics regarding the model name, model number, etc.,

You have to access your wireless router's web interface in order to change the channel and or experiment with various security / encryption settings.
