I am not condoning pirating Windows or anything, and I bought my copy during the discount upgrade period, but I had to go from Vista Ultimate down to Win7 Home Premium just because there was no way I was spending that kind of dough after being screwed on Vista Ultimate.

If Microsoft wants to reduce the pirating of their software, they should lower their prices. We are in a messed up economy and these companies are fleecing the public because they know we "need" our OS fix.

$59 was an awesome price for the upgrade.. $120 not so much. The $200+ to upgrade to Ultimate was a laugh.

My two cents.. plus interest.. carry the one...

Why would you want to buy something as overpriced as Windows. It costs like 400 dollars for something that could cost 30. and still be making a profit.

Anyways @Original Poster: I bet a new crack/fix will be made in time. Don't worry.
It wasn't an arrogant answer, it was simply stating the facts as I see them regarding pirated versions of Windows.. My apologies if it seemed arrogant..

Well I took your post as my version is better then yours because I payed for it. Also you lied saying that the only way to fix it would be to buy it, even though everyone knows a new crack/fix will come out. Sorry if I mistook that though. :P

I'm sorry, but that ideology is just horribly unintelligent.

With that mentality its like saying "Don't like the world, well just kill yourself." Or "Don't like a law, get the heck out of my country."

My opinion is that they should drop the price or expect piracy. I don't think there would be a 1/4 of the people pirating 7 if the price was something like 30 bucks. We aren't all rich ya know.

No, that's not at all what I was saying. I do not condone the use of pirated versions of Windows.. I also don't condone the use of cracks on Windows.. That's all I was saying... And I'm sorry but from the above statement you just made it sound to me like you do condone the use of pirated/cracked versions of Windows..

I really don't see how I lied by saying that the way to solve the problem would be to not use an illegaly cracked version but to go out and actually pay for the software...

Anyway, if you don't agree with my opinion that's fine, I never said you had to.. All I was doing was stating mine..

    Sorry for the misunderstanding then.

And yes I do condone piracy, but not as a form of thievery. More in the idea that it should be free to begin with and your just correcting an imbalance. Ideally for me everything would be free, but with an option to donate to the company/individual who made it. I also don't believe in copyright either. XD For example anything I create(Music, videos, images, lyrics, papers, anything) I allow anybody to use for whatever purposes without permission or crediting. So that's really what couples together and is why I condone piracy.
