    Microsoft Office 2010 installation Problem

    Hi,I hav sme problems in installn the office 2010 pro software on my pc.when i run it as admin. and hit install,it starts the istallation but doesnt proceed at all and suddenly says,microsoft office 2010 encountered a problem and the instl'tion wasnt completed we are sorry for da inconvenience.please help.any replies are appreciated.thank you

    Are you installing from a dvd? Doe the error report give any more information - eg error code?

    Have you had a prior install of Office 2010?

    Any anti-virus programs running?
