    Microphone doesn't work

    Hello,
    can You please help me?
    I have a microphone in my laptop, but I can't find the software for it since I installed windows7, so it doesn't work. What should I do? How can I understand what is good and what will work properly?

    If you right click the speaker icon, and select recording devices, is your microphone listed and enabled? Can it be configured?

    Another question I like to ask is what utility are you using for it? The sound recorder is not good at giving a decent volume.

    Have you tried an external Mike?
