The Adobe flash player works fine in Firefox.

However, sometimes if you have an older version of Flash Player installed, then the new one doesn't get installed properly in which case you need to download the Flash uninstaller from Adobe - see How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control for further details and a link to the uninstaller.

To download the latest Flash Player go to Adobe - Adobe Flash Player

On the download page for Flash Player on the Adobe website it asks you which browser specific version you want to download after it asks for your OS. For OS select the Windows XP/Vista option and then on the next page there's two options to choose from, Flash Player for Internet Explorer and Flash Player for other browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc.); what you want is the second option which is for other browsers.

If you don't have the very latest version, I would down that.

Adobe has a security problem with the Shock Player and have issued a patch for it.
