Microsoft Limits Security Essential Beta Downloads to 75,000
Microsoft has halted downloads of its free Microsoft Security Essentials beta software. The software was first made available on Tuesday, June23. The company reached its cap of 75,000 downloads in less than 24 hours. The final version of Microsoft Security Essentials is expectedto be available by the end of the year. Initial testing of the beta version has had favorable results.
