win7 RC boot error, no desktop icons

hi,

im using win7 RC since 2 months now... and never faced any problems

but suddenly yesterday some programs like firefox, utorrent, etc. started acting up and i now get an error on boot up and i cant see my desktop icons at all..

otherwise its working fine.

my config
HP dv9222tx laptop

intel core2 duo T5200 1.6ghz
3gb 533mhz ram
2 hdds 80gb, 250gb
nvidia 7600 go

and yes... i tried system restore too... to the previous point when i installed latest updates..

but SYSTEM RESTORE not working... says a file was not found... plz turn off ur antivirus

i tried it again with antivirus -kaspersky internet sec 2009 OFF but didnt work either

plz help

That's one of the strangest dialog boxes I've seen.

Download from ieframe.dll?

Have you performed a complete virus scan.

Try going to Start > Run, and type optionalfeatures.

Uncheck Internet Explorer, reboot, go back and check the box to re-install.
