    I Cannot shut down my anti virus (avast)...

    Hi all . I am an avid video gamer & shut down my anti virus when playing online. This is commonly done. With XP , I was able to shut down Avast in task manager. With Windows 7 it gives me message of Access is Denied, but I AM the Administrator. How can I fix this?

    Hello and welcome to the Windows7forums,

    Is there any reason you need to shutdown Avast?

    Disabling your anti-virus leaves you open to viruses and/or Trojans while online.
