"Frequent" Items

How do folders or locations end up in the frequent list of an application pinned to the taskbar? For example, there are several items in the frequent list for Windows Explorer. How do I add items to that list? I would like to add the download folder but I don't see how to do that manually.

Just open the folder in an explorer window and drag it down onto the explorer icon in the taskbar. This will pin the folder to the list automatically for you.

Thanks. I was thinking of items landing in the frequent area but pinning is actually better.

You can actually right click on any appliation as well and select "Pin to Taskbar."
