External drive no longer working after upgrading to 7

Help!!! After loading windows 7 from vista, my G: drive now reads: G:/ is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. Any suggestions how to fix this????

Could you explain how the G: drive fits into your system? Was it used during the upgrade, is it external?

Isn't g: usually a usb device? If so.. remove it.. then put it back in later and see if you can access it.

I think you would have to have 4 hard drives installed to use G: for a hard drive.
