Windows Easy Transfer locked my files

Ok so I used Windows Easy Transfer to take my files from an XP loaded lap top to a Windows 7 loaded laptop, but now all my photos are locked, and I ca not view them? How would I go about fixing this? it is Windows 7 Home Perm. I have been looking for over an hour on the net and can not find a fix. Thanks.

Are you trying to restore them? As far as I know, it is not supposed to be used as an archive, but you can restore specific folders.

Easy tyransfer is yally differmt in XP .

Most all of us agree that an upgrade is not the route to take. It leaves useless files on your system and can cause conflicts.

Save all you Documents, Pictures, contacts, videos, music, etc to a flash drive,

Be aware, you will need to re-install your 3rd party applications.

You have to restore the files using Windows Easy Transfer. It will put them back in about the same place it found them. You can pick which files are restored by using the Customize-Advanced options.
