    Unable to open device manager

    Hi guys,
    i am new to windows 7, just upgraded to windows 7 pro ...
    i have encounter a problem where when i right click "My Computer" and click on "Manage" ... an error regarding file associate popped up ... but i am able to open through Control Panel ... (this problem did not occur few days back) ...

    will try to attach my Recorded Problem Steps here ...

    do hope there is a solution to it, else it would be a hassle using device manager ..

    Have you applied the fix to dlete shortcut arrows.? If so, that is the reason for the problem.
    The so-called "fix", has deleted the IsShortcut registry value . Download and apply this .lnk file association fix :
