Can't get computer information

When I select the circle with Windows logo (bottom left corner) and select computer it use to flash up my hard drives, DVD, and other removable devices. Now when I select Computer it does not bring up my device layout instead I get a bar at the top labeled Computer with a growing green strip going left to right like you would get when down loading a software package. It runs about 5 Mins before it brings up my devices. What happened?

If you have any external drive, USB etc. connected disconnect it and see if that opens fine. Uses Speccy - System Information - Free Download and post us your System specification.

Thanks it worked. I un pluged my backup drive. Also I repluged and it still works properly
