How To Keep Explorer From Guessing

When I fill a folder with files, Windows Explorer looks at the extensions and makes a guess as to what information I want to see when listing the files. The most common problem I have is when I place mp3 files into a folder and Explorer decides that I want to see Number, Title, Contributing Artists, etc. Actually, none of that information is of interest to me, so I have to delete all of the columns and add Date Modified, Type, and Size, which has meaning to me.

Is there any way to configure things so that regardless what files are in the folder that the default is for Date Modified, Type, and Size to be displayed?

    Thanks -

I haven't tried this specifically, but you should be able to go to Organize\Folder and search options\View\ and click on "Apply to folders".
