    CACLS Bug: Silent abort when reaching "System volumen information" folder

    When I go to the root directory of my partition D: and enter

    CACLS * /T

    then the scanning of all my files and folders for Security settings starts.
    After a while the process reaches the (hidden, system) folder

    "System Volume Information"

    ...and abort silently.
    I think this is clearly a bug. CACLS should either skip or write a comment "folder inaccessible".
    Aborting is a no-go.

    Or is there a workaround (flag) ?

    ICACLS have the same bug.

    Did you try including the /C switch in the command?
    /C (/C Continue on access denied errors)
    Yesterday was, Today is, but ahh Tomorrow...mystery, suspense and a promise of hope.

    Yes, it aborts with /C too
