Also, I read that in Vista, there is a Redirect Option. What does this do and what are the benefits of doing this? Can this be simulated by moving the folders to the D:/ Drive then in the C:/ Drive make a shortcut to the ones in the D:/Drive?

can you clarify did you

installed XP then W7RC

so wiped xp and replaced it with win7 or did you install win7 into the D: drive ??

to answer the question if you wiped xp and put win7 onto the C: drive then what I do is simply repoint the links under your username right click properties and move to the D: drive which adds the windows examples to your files
