    Microphone Static

Hey everyone, recently while I was recording with fraps, my audio had a static-y sound. I turned off my microphone and it didn't seem to help. But when I disabled it from settings, there was no static. I don't have any microphone boost on and there is no static when I am in Skype with other people. Any help?

    Re: Microphone Static

When you were recording with Fraps, were you online during a game? Could it be something related to Fraps?

Static usually comes from a bad contact or some interference, and I suppose a bad codec or utility. If you use it for Skype, do you have that completely turned of during the recording?
