Question about being a new User on someone else's computer

I have a New User Account on someone's computer (so there is just the two of us as separate Users). My question... do we share the same Program Files folder (the one that shows up when I click "Computer" on the Start Up Menu and then click on the "C" drive)? It didn't seem to me that I have my own private Program Files folder under my User name.

Depends on whether the installation procedure for each program offered the option to install for just the current user or for all (the don't all offer a choice) and whether or not the person selected the appropriate option.
