I secure deleted some files - nothing very sensitive - but pointers remained to the files - i.e.:

f:\\\5545.jpg - etc.

Everything on my C:\ drive had hidden links that simply would not delete. Turned off the Firewall - AntiVirus - cleaned the MFT - everything and it would not go away. Then I used another cleaner to wipe and delete Custom folders and I regained about 1 1/2 gigs of space and all is gone.

I have stopped Indexing and Disabled Search - using the freeware program called Everything which is blazingly fast but does not look very pretty. Will that stop hidden links? If not advise if can.
