Firefox not responding

Earlier today i was using firefox and it was working find. I turn on the computer and now it won't open or even uninstall. I close all instances on task manager and have restarted but nothing is working. I refuse to do a system restore, i don't think i even have any restore points.

What happened and how can i fix it?

I suppose when something strange starts to happen, I think about viruses. I assume you have run a scan?

Have you tried starting Firefox directly from the .exe file?

Does it work in Safe Mode? If it does, you might check the Addons to see if anything was added.

You could always try uninstalling and reinstalling if the problem continues.

When you checked Task Manager, you looked on the Applications and Processes tabs?
