    Finding new hardware

    Dear all,

W7 seems to keep making bink-bonk noises as if it's finding new hardware, or a USB stick is being plugged in and removed.

I have a HP pavilion Laptop and W7 has been installed for 2 days.

Any ideas why it's doing this?

    J.

Jolly Whenever you plug in a device into the computer that is plug in play it makes a duh - duuuh noise. This is normal for Windows 7 as far as i am concerned

I know this; I probably didn't explain myself properly.

I meant that W7 or my laptop is making these duh duuh (or bink bonk) noises WITHOUT any hardwrae being plugged in.
