Dual Boot Menu

I have Win 7 installed in a dual boot configuration with XP. How do I change the name of the XP installation, which Win 7 has called "Earlier Version Of Windows", to what it actually is?

You can do it through the built in facility Bcdedit, which is a nightmare, or take the easy route. Download EasyBcd or Vistabootpro, (They are free) which both give you the opportunity to change the names, among other useful features.
