Re: Backup and restore specific printer settings
I still cannot find a solution.
I've tried the following commands:
1.) export on the server:
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /Ss /n "PRT10" /a "D:\support\prt10.dat"
2.) import on a client:
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /Sr /n "PRT10" /a "S:\prt10.dat"
but get this error by importing on a client computer:
"OPERATION COULD NOT BE COMPLETED (ERROR 0X00000709).
DOUBLE CHECK THE PRINTER NAME AND MAKE SURE THE PRINTER IS CONNECTED TO THE NETWORK."
BTW The printer is connected to the network, I can add it using GPO without any problems and is printing from this client computer.
My problem are the settings, because GPO can add a printer to a client, without specific printer settings.
