    Angry Windows Vista Home Premium

What's up to worthy users of Windows Vista,

I have a major PET-PEEV about this OS! It like how can I tell you
about my frustrastion about this new versions of Windows just
like any other version, It has FLAWS!!!!! Looks like some admin-
nistrators or Remote Controlled Desktop is restricting my actions
    even though I'm a Administrator myself..................Looks like it's
Time to let you know how I Feel about this Ludicrous O.S. that
we are using. And most of all that, we have ADMINISTRATORS
COMING IN ON MY DESK-TOP ADDING OR DELETING MY OWN
PERSONAL PREFERENCES ON MY OWN PERSONAL LAPTOP/NOTE
    BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How's
that for Starters?! Then how about, not able to move files to your
Favorite Files or Correct ones that pertains specifically to that file
or Folder or Programs.........Let me hear me about your PET-PEEVS
and Rants Ravs about this NEW FLAWED O.S. LIKE ALWAYS!?!?!?

    Re: Windows Vista Home Premium

i remember people fussing about win 95 over win 3.1
every time a new os comes out, some folks just can't master it.
i have customers still having trouble with win 98.
i really like vista, and am installing it on all of my networked computers.
computers demand patience and willingness to learn.
the challenge i like is to master all parts of computerism. i get a real charge out of getting things to work.
stay with it, you get to liking vista, about the time windows 7 comes out in 2009
then, we must conquer a new gate's mountain.

The problem you're having sounds like it could happen on any computer. Your admin's policy is bad.

Try installing everything in Admin mode, that way you have less problems. If it really bothers you can also disable UAC so that you have full control of everything.

I just installed Service Pack 1 for Vista and it seems to make the OS a little better. Not too much change.

I just would like to say I have an Athlon 64 4400 with 3G DDR400 ram and an ATI X1800XL AIW and 1 Terabyte spread among 6 drives and I have been running Vista since the first Beta in 2006 and the improvements in the OS have been phenominal. I am dual booting to x86 and x64 and almost exclusively use x64 now. All my periphials work including two old printers (HP LaserJet IIIP and HP 1210 AiO) The only!! problem I have been having is moving files around. But I hear that will change soon I use my computer at least 14 hours a day and the biggest improvemt I have liked is rendering video to DVD now only takes 2 hours instead of 4.

It may help to keep a registry with specific titles or names of things you store in your computer. Don't forget to record what department you placed the file in. Sincerely, Celestra

Well Windows Vista is a good start for a new OS. But its hardly finished. There are lots of rough edges. I disabled my Aero UI and I'm using the system with Windows Standard theme, and the HDD only has activity for 1-2 minutes after boot up compared to the Vista Theme w/ and w/o Aero enabled; 4-5 minutes of HDD activity after post boot.
