scan and fix external hard drive
I have a Dell Vostron with Vista.
Frequently, I get an error box (actually multiple ones) that says "Microsoft Windows" - clicking on the box, it says it wants to "scan and fix" one of my two external hard drives. The "autoplay" box will also be there multiple times.
I do not believe there is anything wrong with the external hard drives-I use them frequently and when I've tried to "scan and fix" them, nothing happens. How can I stop these "scan and fix" boxes from appearing. If I'm away from the computer, 20 or more will accumulate and I have to close them all.
