Exclamation Plug and Play hard drive's?

I have been having trouble getting either of my two plug and play removable hard drive’s to function, Vista asks me to install the driver software and, seeming as it plug and play, I have none.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

From what I understand there are going to be a lot of drivers introduced into the OS up until the release. I've had a lot of driver issues when installing and this is with 3 year old hardware.

What kind of drive is it? More info please if you haven't solved it

I have now solved my driver issue, but not entirely. I formatted the drive with an NTFS file system and if I plug it in then restart it is recognized.

I also have a plug and play usb pen drive, and an iPod which both work flawlessly these are formatted with FAT32 file system this may be relevant, but I’m not an expert.
